Happy Sunday, Cedars International Next Generation High School Supporters,
Wow! It’s hard to believe we are 1/3 of the year complete, with our first 12-week trimester already over and beginning our second 12-week trimester! As a reminder, each trimester equals a half credit for each course. Typically, students will move into the second portion of their classes in the second trimester. Averaging the grades from the first and second trimesters will provide each course's full credit and final grade. This system allows our students to focus deeply on each segment of their courses, building a solid foundation in each subject.
Congratulations to our many students who earned exemptions for their finals! Their hard work and dedication paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments. These exemptions reflect their consistent efforts and achievements, setting a strong example for our entire school community.
We’ve also had an incredible week with achievements from our recent College and Career Day. The event was a tremendous success, with over 12 colleges and universities and more than 40 career professionals visiting our campus. Additionally, numerous alumni returned to speak to students about their experiences in their respective career fields, sharing valuable insights and inspiring our students as they consider their own futures. Seeing our students engage with representatives and explore potential academic and career paths was inspiring.
Additionally, our sophomores presented on student voice, which sparked meaningful discussions and inspired our student council to take action on several thoughtful suggestions. It’s rewarding to see our students actively shaping their school environment!
