Dear Cedars Families,
Thanks to all the families who attended the Black History Program last Thursday. We had a record number of families attend the event. Our students did a phenomenal job bringing the story of the Children’s Crusade of 1963 to life. A special thanks to the Dream Team (Anslee Connell, Liz Evers, and Coach Gonzalez) for coordinating the spectacular event.💖🖤💛💚
🍫Chocolate Fundraiser🍫
Cedars PTO is excited to kick off our World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser tomorrow! You support is essential ensuring we have a successful campaign. If we receive 80% of the slips returned tomorrow, students will earn a NUT pass for March 4-7.
The fundraiser will run from March 3 to April 4. Each student will receive one box of chocolate to sell initially. Students will turn in $60 in cash, and get another boxes. Additional boxes will be provided upon request and approval. The goal is to raise $15,000 (500 boxes) for field trips, school supplies, end of the year events, etc. We cannot take back any chocolate.
Top seller week 1 and 2 of the fundraiser will receive a Kalahari overnight stay in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite with 5 water park passes. Top class week 1 and 2 will receive a pizza or ice cream party.
📚Spring Principal Reading Challenge📚
Cedars International Academy Spring Principal Reading Challenge begins tomorrow! Students will come home with a reading log that will be used to document minutes read for some outstanding class prizes below.

😎Summer Camp Registration😎
Students will be nominated for Summer Camp this year. Teachers will nominate through May 31st in preparation for registration. Summer camp will be held from May 29-July 2.

Principal Rauls has challenged the students at Cedars International Academy to participate in the 2025 Spring Principal's Reading Challenge. Our students’ involvement in this initiative supports our ongoing effort to accelerate learning and help every student become proficient and confident readers.
This year, we challenge the students to read each night for at least 20 minutes and log the information in the reading journal daily. On May 2, 2025, return the Reading Challenge journal to your homeroom teacher.
THE CLASS THAT RECORDS THE MOST MINUTES WILL WIN AN AMAZING FIELD TRIP!
Why are we participating in this reading challenge?
Reading is the single most important activity in a child’s education. Research shows that children reading daily are better prepared for formal education. Please help us motivate all our students to read more while encouraging a love of reading. Thank you for your continued support!
